In January of last year, Fujifilm announced the X-T1 mirrorless camera. The camera might seem unassuming and might not have the same fanfare compared to other mirrorless cameras in the market, but many reviews have pegged it to be one of the better models available, largely thanks to Fujifilm’s image capturing software and processor.
For those who might be wondering how Fujifilm could further improve upon the device, the folks at Fuji Rumors have heard from their sources that come 18th of May, Fujifilm is expected to announced the X-T10, which according to the rumors is expected to be a cheaper version of the X-T1. Unfortunately the details of the camera is a bit scarce at the moment, but from what we do know, there will be some slight changes made to the overall device.
For starters the rumors claim that the X-T10 will not come with an ISO dial. Is this a bad thing? There are some photographers who love having their options laid out in front of them instead of having to comb through menus, so the removal of the ISO dial might seem like a negative aspect. Other rumored features include a built-in flash, something which is missing from the X-T1.
The X-T10’s EVF is also rumored to be about the same size as the Fujifilm X-E2, and that the bundled kit lens for the camera will be an XC lens type. We can’t be sure how true any of these rumors are so take it with a grain of salt, but for Fujifilm photographers who are excited to see what the company could bring to the table, check back with us on the 18th of May to find out.
