Next week LG is going to unveil its next-generation flagship smartphone but it’s not like we don’t know anything about it. Much has already become public knowledge courtesy of multiple leaks, there was even one that was seemingly LG’s own fault. Nevertheless there is a bit of new information today regarding this handset. Apparently there’s going to be a dual-SIM LG G4 which might only be released in select markets.
A photo of the device has emerged from Iran which shows the LG G4 with a SIM switch button in the lower right hand corner of the display. The feature would allow users to switch between the two SIMs as and when required.
It really won’t be surprising though if LG does launch a dual-SIM version of the G4. Korean manufacturers like LG do have a history of launching dual-SIM smartphones to cater to markets where they’re in demand.
We’ve seen Samsung do this in the past as well which is why a LG G4 limited to select markets would make perfect sense. There’s no official word from LG yet about it though.
LG will be unveiling the G4 on April 28th and we expect to hear confirmed information about pricing and availability at the event, hopefully it’ll say something about the dual-SIM version as well.
