Dish Allows Easier Netflix Viewing
Do take note that Netflix was available on Dish set-top boxes not too long ago – in December of last year, in fact, and as usual, the spirit of wanting to make things a whole lot better and more efficient has led to Dish offering an improved level of integration between its platform as well as the video-streaming service for its subscribers. In other words, Dish subscribers who happen to have a Joey receiver right smack in their homes will be able to begin watching Netflix content – regardless of which room they are in at the moment.
For instance, if you were to kick off an episode of House of Cards, the award winning series on your living room’s Hopper DVR, you will then be able to pause it, scoot over to the bedroom, and then resume viewing it from there. It might seem to be magic, but it isn’t, as long as the presence of Wireless Joey is there. Apart from that, Dish has also thrown Vevo into the mix, which will enable folks to check out on-demand music videos, making it part of a fast growing list of Hopper apps.
Do take note that Netflix, too, has begun to offer audio descriptions for the visually impaired. [Press Release]
