At the moment it seems that the supported platforms for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is slated for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and the PC, but could it be that perhaps Activision and Treyarch are thinking about bringing the game onto the Nintendo Wii U? Well it seems like that could be the case according to the official Activision Support Twitter account.
In a recent tweet in response to a question posed by a fan about how Nintendo IDs can be connected to the Call of Duty website if there are no plans to support the Wii U console, Activision responded by saying, “Hey there. Stay tuned for more Wii U releases.” Now it is unclear as to what this means specifically.
One way we could interpret this is that Activision is trying to tell us that a Wii U version of the game could be announced later. Another possibility, one that might not be such great news for Wii U gamers is that Activision is saying that they have other releases for the Wii U and that Black Ops 3 might not be one of them.
The reply is a little ambiguous so until we hear from Activision or Treyarch officially, try not to get your hopes up just yet. That being said, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 was released for the Wii U platform so for Black Ops 3 to arrive on the platform might not be that much of a stretch, or so we hope.
