While there are plenty of fighting games in the market, the Mortal Kombat franchise made a name for itself by creating a fighting game that included some very brutal and gruesome finishing moves in the form of Fatalities. Now these Fatalities have changed and have been upgraded throughout the years, thanks to the game getting better graphics and its developers getting more creative.
However there are probably players who might be a little nostalgic for some of the classic Fatalities from back in the day. Well the good news is that if you would love to see those moves brought to the recently released Mortal Kombat X, you might be in luck as it has been discovered that within files in the game’s Steam database, there are hints that NetherRealm could be thinking of introducing those classic Fatalities to the game in an upcoming DLC.
The studio has yet to confirm or announce anything yet so for now, try not to get your hopes up just yet. The files itself have been titled “Klassic Fatalities 1” and “Klassic Fatalities 2” but it is unclear as to which particular Mortal Kombat title the studio could be drawing inspiration from, but presumably it would be based on the different titles throughout the years. In the meantime NetherRealm’s Ed Boon teased that the game could be getting a Story Pack DLC in which the NPCs in the story mode of the game could be unlocked and used by gamers.
