Galaxy S5 owners on AT&T have long been waiting for the Lollipop update to arrive. The second largest mobile carrier in the United States took its time to release this update for Samsung’s 2014 flagship despite the fact that many of its rivals have already rolled out said update to users. AT&T has finally come through today, Galaxy S5 owners on the carrier should start checking their devices for an update notification.

When AT&T released Lollipop for the Galaxy S4 yesterday naturally many of its subscribers started asking about the roll out plans for the Galaxy S5.

Earlier today the carrier confirmed via Twitter that Lollipop will be released for the Galaxy S5 within a few hours, it confirmed that the update would be out today.

Indeed it is. AT&T has finally rolled out Android Lollipop for Galaxy S5. The update is around 1.4 GB so obviously you’ll need to be hooked up to a Wi-Fi network just to download it.

The update will bring a handful of new features to the device aside from user interface tweaks and much more, it’ll definitely be well worth the wait.

Within a few hours the update should go live across all regions so all Galaxy S5 owners on AT&T will be able to get a taste of Lollipop on their devices in the very near future.
