Xbox One owners are pretty much used to monthly updates by now. Microsoft has done a great job of adding new functionality almost every month, listening to feedback from users and tweaking things to provide them with a better experience. These monthly updates really do go a long way in improving the user experience and today the Xbox One is receiving another one. It’s the April Xbox One update and today Microsoft is released it for everybody.
The April Xbox One update brings achievement notifications which will let users see the achievement’s description in the notification so they don’t have to open the standalone app to find out what they did to earn that achievement.
Party chat improvements are also included in this update. More icons and notifications have been added in the party chat experience so that users can easily understand their microphone and connection status.
Xbox One users in the U.S., Canada and the UK will now be able to access the What’s On area. They’ll be able to find links to popular videos, TV shows, movies, games, broadcasts and more in it.
The April Xbox One update has been rolled out today so if you’re anxious to try out these improvements fire up your console right now and get on the latest software.
