Android Apps Install Links Available Directly From Google Search

Google has added a new feature to its search engine which will enable users to download apps featured in search results. Not only will this make it easier for users to instantly download apps that they’ve searched for, it’s likely to please developers as well, since the option to install their apps will now show up in search itself. The feature is gradually being rolled out but should go live for all Google Search users in the very near future.

This is merely an extension of the App Indexing feature that Google launched for app developers back in 2013. This feature allowed developers to list content from their apps on Google’s search engine.

Search results would then show that content to users, but they weren’t able to download the app directly, and this feature wasn’t really helpful if users didn’t have that app installed.

Now that this feature has been improved, Google will prompt users to install applications that offer content that they’ve searched for. Links will be displayed in search itself which will take them directly to the Play Store.

From the Play Store, it’s merely a couple of taps to download that particular application on the Android device. Once the app has been installed it will automatically take users to the relevant content or article that they had searched for.
