In the first place, you would need to be a person of means if you were to pick up an Apple Watch, and why do we say so? Well, the starting price point is not exactly affordable to the masses, and it is far from being an impulse purchase, too. While Apple has not yet revealed how much customers will be charged so that the AppleCare+ protection will be part of the upcoming wearable, new screenshots have started to make their way online, citing that such AppleCare+ plans will have a starting price of $59 for the Apple Watch Sport, and it might even go all the way to a dollar shy of one grand for the Apple Watch Edition.
As for the Apple Watch model that most people will probably settle for, that is, the stainless steel version, it should see $79 being added to customers’ tabs. AppleCare+ will also extend Sport and stainless Watch warranties to a couple of years as well as handle up to two incidents of accidental damage, which would be rather similar to the extended warranty program for the iPhone and iPad.
Do take all of what you have read with a pinch of salt, since nothing has been put down in concrete just yet, and neither has there been an official announcement of sorts.
