It has been rumored that the Apple Watch’s supply could be constrained at the start, and this seems to have been confirmed by the estimated shipping times that were spotted on several of Apple’s international websites, such as those in the UK and Germany. The shipping times have since been removed but it could be worth taking note of.
According to the shipping times, delivery time for some of the watches range from the 24th of April (which is when the device is meant to be released) to the 8th of May. However in some cases, depending on the configuration, customers will apparently have to wait anywhere between 4-6 weeks, yikes! So if you’re planning to get your hands on an Apple Watch, you’ll probably want to pre-order it early lest you end up waiting over a month for it to arrive.
However since the shipping times have since been pulled, there is always a chance that they were made in error and that they might actually not be so bad, but this does line up with what we’ve been hearing so we wouldn’t be surprised if it turned out to be true. In the meantime it seems that customers are only limited to one Apple Watch per reservation which seems to hint that supply could be constrained.
Either way we’ll have to wait until the 24th of April for the wearable’s release to get a better idea of its shipping times. In the meantime pre-orders for the Apple Watch will kick off on the 10th of April so if you don’t want to wait, you’ll want to get your credit cards ready.
