However it is possible that it could also have to do with criticisms that Apple has faced with the 24th of April availability. Many had assumed that like the iPhone and iPad, the availability date means that it will be shipped to customers who have pre-ordered it and it will also be available within Apple’s stores, but in the case of the Apple Watch, the wearable is exclusively available online.
In fact some customers have actually written in to Apple to voice their complaints about the date, so we guess Apple might have taken it down to reduce confusion over the matter. However like we said earlier, demand exceeding supply could also be a reason. The shipping estimates for the Apple Watch have since slipped to June meaning that customers will have to wait more than a month to receive their purchase.
That being said it really doesn’t seem like there’s anything Apple can do at the moment to reduce the shipping times as presumably their manufacturers are already at max capacity, but either way if you had your eye on the device, it looks like you’ll be in for a wait.
