As you might have heard by now, Apple Watch shipping estimates have slipped to June which means that those who were slow on the trigger to make a pre-order will only be receiving it much later than everyone else. The semi good news is that Apple is now promising a 28th of April delivery date for the Apple Watch, but only if you’re an iOS developer.
It seems that the Cupertino company has recently started to send out emails to its iOS developers and has given them the opportunity to purchase a 42mm version of the Apple Watch Sport with a Blue Sport band. They are also promising that the device will be shipped by the 28th of April, meaning you should be able to get your hands on it in time for the device’s official release.
Obviously the goal here is to cater to developers in hopes that by promising them a timely delivery, these developers will be able to start developing and testing their apps for Apple’s wearable. However it seems that not all developers will be eligible for this offer as it seems that it is a limited offer and is sent out to developers at random.
We can only imagine that some developers will be enterprising enough to take Apple up on the offer and then sell it on eBay for a much higher price, but that being said if you are a developer who wants an Apple Watch, keep an eye out for Apple’s email.
