Over the past few months we have been hearing reports that Apple is going to launching a revamped Beats Music service later this year. The company is expected to unveil this new offering at the Worldwide Developers Conference 2015 this June. According to a new report Apple is reaching out to some of the biggest artists in the industry to score exclusive track and album streaming rights in a bid to promote a revamped Beats Music service.

According to Bloomberg, Apple has reached out to Florence and the Machine as well as “more than a dozen other artists” for exclusive deals. The company wants exclusive streaming rights so that subscribers have an added incentive to pay for its new music streaming service.

Tidal, a relatively new service owned by Jay Z and 16 top tier artists, is also doing something along the same lines. Offering exclusive content to steal subscribers from the likes of Spotify and YouTube, which allow people to listen to music for free as long as they put up with advertisements.

A revamped Beats Music service is expected to be launched this summer under a new moniker. According to the report individual subscription will cost $9.99 per month while a family plan will also be offered for $14.99 per month.
