galaxy-note-4-review-15Samsung Galaxy Note 4 owners who bought their handset from Verizon will have something to cheer about. According to a handful of user reports, it seems that the Android 5.0 Lollipop update is beginning to make its way into the hands of Verizon Galaxy Note 4 owners as we speak. The update appears to be a 2-part update so you’ll probably want to make sure you have a strong WiFi signal and enough battery for it to download and to install itself.

As expected of the Android 5.0 Lollipop update, the update will bring about all the changes and new design using Google’s Material Design language. Samsung has also thrown in some features of their own such as Smart Lock, Do Not Disturb mode which replaces Blocking Mode, and also slow motion and fast motion camera modes along with S Health widgets.

Even better news for Samsung Galaxy Note 4 users is that Verizon has activated VoLTE for the handset, meaning that Advanced Calling 1.0 will be part of the phone’s dialer and will allow user to place HD Voice calls and video chat with other users who have Verizon’s VoLTE enabled on their handset. This update to the Galaxy Note 4 on Verizon follows a similar update that AT&T had issued to their Galaxy Note 4 just last week.
