Publisher Activision today released a teaser for what appears to be a new Guitar Hero title. We started hearing whispers a few months back that this popular franchise might be up for a revival. Even though the teaser doesn’t explicitly mention Guitar Hero, given everything that we have heard about it recently, and the fact that the teaser shows a band gearing up to take the stage it’s very possible that this is indeed a teaser of the next Guitar Hero game.
It was reported back in February that a new Guitar Hero title is already in production and that it will be released for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One at some point later this year.
So far there’s no information available about the new title, the gameplay experience and when it will finally be released for the consoles. None of that information has been officially revealed at this point in time.
The video teaser that Activision has released today is very brief and it shows a band that’s preparing to take the stage, “it’s about to get real,” we’re told and this could be a hint that a more formal announcement could be coming in the near future.
