At its press conference in New York today Acer launched a new monitor that’s going to appeal to PC gamers. The Acer XR341CKA is a 34 inch UltraWide curved monitor with Quad HD 3,440×1,440 pixel resolution and NVIDIA G-SYNC technology, which reduces screen tear and stutter. Two 7W speakers and DTS sound is also onboard the monitor which is supported by a “futuristic” aluminum base.
The XR341CKA monitor from Acer has a 21:9 UltraWide Quad HD resolution IPS display panel which provides up to 178-degree viewing angle, this broader view provides users with an immersive experience with entertainment and gaming.
Since the screen is curved it puts every corner of the screen at the same distance from the user’s eyes thus providing a uniform viewing experience. It is possible to configure this product in a multi-monitor setup for an enhanced gaming experience.
NVIDIA G-SYNC technology enables 6-axis color adjustment, the monitor can also display refresh rate on-screen, users get three different aim-point icons to choose from. A red ambient light at the lower edge of the monitor shows when G-SYNC mode is on.
Aside from HDMI and DisplayPort inputs the XR341CKA has a built-in USB 3.0 hub which also supports high-speed charging of smartphones and other devices.
Acer XR341CKA monitor will be available to customers in North America come September, with prices starting at $1,299.
