Dubbed SpotiBear 1.0, Andreas Lindahl came up with it as part of the learning curve when it comes to 3D modeling. In order to deliver sound, Lindahl threw in a speaker, some buttons, as well as the relevant electronics so that it will get going. The SpotiBear 1.0 will be controlled via Raspberry Pi B+ in order to have it run Spotify. As for the buttons themselves, they have been coded with Python script, and to keep it running, a lithium ion polymer battery provides the relevant amount of juice. Charging it up is easy – you can do so via a micro USB port.
Now, I am already looking forward to future iterations of the SpotiBear 1.0 – perhaps the next version could see a built-in LCD display that will also be able to deliver visual entertainment?
