The company has recently announced on its blog that their app will be arriving for the Apple Watch. However like we said, the Apple Watch version will go beyond just remembering passwords for websites, but could potentially be used for real-life situations as well, such as at the gym where you might need to remember the combination to your gym locker.
The developer writes, “After a couple months of diligently attending the gym, you’ve earned a coveted private locker. Of course, remembering your locker combination is probably not a priority when you’re counting reps. But if you store that combination in 1Password, it only takes a couple of taps for you to see the combination in 1Password for Apple Watch when you’re back at your locker.”
Gizmodo’s Sean Hollister also had another unique idea for 1Password, where it could incorporate geofencing so that when it detects you’re at the locker, your password will then be displayed on your watch without you having to do anything. Hollister also suggested that maybe passwords could be protected based on the wearer’s heartbeat – now that is something we would love to see, but what say you?
