About an year back Microsoft launched the Xbox One preview program. Those who got on this program were provided upcoming software updates that they could test before the updates were released for everybody else. People who don’t mind getting access to such software praise this program and they will be happy to see that the company is now expanding it to cover the Xbox 360 as well. The Xbox 360 preview program will also allow console owners to get their hands on software updates before everybody else.
Microsoft’s Major Nelson confirmed this and revealed that select invitees will be able to join the program on Xbox 360 early this month. It will work quite similar to how the Xbox One preview program works.
Those who have been selected for the initial phase will receive a special Xbox Live message which will lay down the process for Xbox 360 Preview Registration.
Nothing will happen immediately after the registration however when the Preview is ready to begin selected Xbox 360 owners will receive a Xbox Live message.
The upcoming release brings fixes for common network issues and adds a Network Connectivity test which includes Download and Upload speed tests. Major Nelson promises that “there will be even more changes coming later this year.”
