Windows 10 Insiders: 2.8 Million And Counting

[MWC 2015] It was on stage in Barcelona at this year’s MWC that Microsoft’s Stephen Elop made mention on how their Windows 10 Insiders program has racked up over 2.8 million users – which is an impressive figure by any means. After all, it was just at the end of January this year that we saw the number of Windows 10 Insiders swell by a cool half a million in a matter of 8 days, so this just goes to show how strong interest is in the program.

The Windows 10 Insiders program was launched as a platform to test drive Windows 10 when it comes to desktops as well as smartphones, since it would provide an opportunity for the Windows team to be on the receiving end of feedback, as well as to ensure that the operating system will eventually deliver what users are looking for, rather than shoving things down their throats.

It is widely expected that Windows 10 is going to be a success, especially when you take into consideration the slew of new features such as Cortana and Spartan which will not only be useful, but highly functional, not to mention an updated user interface that should resonate better with the masses. In other words, Windows 10 will (fingers crossed) be the merging of Windows 7’s functionality alongside some of Windows 8’s more modern elements.
