TomTom, the navigation systems company from Holland, claimed that they have already inked a deal with KIA of South Korea in order to deliver the likes of traffic, weather and other kinds of real-time data which will see action in European models. Financial details of this partnership have not been revealed, but we do know this – KIA happens to sell approximately 350,000 of their cars in Europe each year.
On a separate note, TomTom has also mentioned earlier this morning that they will also deliver maps as well as navigation in upcoming European model of cars for SsangYong – yet another automobile company that hails from South Korea. It looks like there is plenty of TomTom love heading towards a couple of South Korean automobile manufacturers – will we hear whispers of Hyundai next?
