If you’re not a fan of paying for DLCs, you might be pleased to learn that the entire DLC range for Microsoft’s Titanfall has gone free. The offer went live last night and basically you will be able to grab the entire range for free for the Xbox One or the Xbox 360. Neither Microsoft nor Respawn have yet to confirm or officially announce the freebie.
This has led to speculation that perhaps the listing was made in error, and assuming it is you should probably go ahead and grab it via the Xbox Games Store before it disappears. Alternatively some have speculated that the release of the free DLCs could be part of Microsoft and Respawn’s way of celebrating the game’s one year anniversary, but hey it’s free and we won’t question our good fortune!
Titanfall was released last year and was actually considered to be pivotal in helping to boost the sale of Xbox One consoles. The Xbox 360 version was released a month later and was ported by a different developer. The game is an Xbox exclusive, much like how the Halo series is an Xbox exclusive.
However there have been talks about a Titanfall sequel that might be released for other platforms, although there is still no word on when that might actually happen.
