We’re sure you’ve all seen movies where characters come this close to getting sawed into half by a table saw. Or maybe you’ve seen those other movies where the characters actually get sawed into half. Either way, it’s very cringeworthy to watch. However we reckon that might not be an issue if the villains had used Bosch’s new REAXX Portable Jobsite Table Saw.
Why is that, you ask? Simply because thanks to Bosch’s new technology, this table saw will actually stop and drop the moment it comes into contact with flesh. Now this isn’t a particularly new technology as similar technology was introduced years ago, but unfortunately back then the technology also destroyed the tool in the process which isn’t that bad of a trade off.
However if you’d rather not have your tools destroyed everytime someone gets careless, this is where Bosch’s technology comes in. The saw will immediately come to a halt and will be retracted into the space below it. From there, the user will be able to get the saw back up and running in as little as 60 seconds after they’ve collected themselves from their near-amputation experience.
The REAXX will also come with a smart cover that covers the blades when not in use, and an LED warning system that will let the operating know when it is safe to use again. The flesh-detection feature can be disabled when cutting conductive materials that might trigger it, but we suppose you should take extra precaution then. Bosch’s REAXX table saw will be going on sale this fall for $1,500.
