This is where the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge comes in. According to Samsung, the company has recently done some research that shows that 76% of mobile users believe that checking your phone during a conversation is considered rude, but thanks to the Galaxy S6 Edge, you can check your phone without coming across as impolite.
How is this possible? This is thanks to the phone’s curved displays at the edges which allows notifications and information to appear, so even if you were to place your phone face down on the table, incoming alerts can still be seen and you can decide whether or not they are urgent enough to warrant attending to.
Samsung highlights the phone’s “People Edge” feature as one of the ways to work around that social faux pas. For those unfamiliar, People Edge is a feature that allows the user to register five different people and assign colors to them that will allow it to remain visible on the edge of the display. It’s an interesting survey but what do you guys make of it? Do you think we need more phones like the Galaxy S6 Edge to help avoid social faux pas in the future?
