Snakebyte QEUS Smart TV Box Revealed

Snakebyte might be a whole lot familiar to all as a gaming accessory manufacturer, but this time around, Snakebyte intends to take the road less traveled by rolling out a new TV box whose function is to deliver the likes of games, media, and other kinds of content to your TV. This happens to be an Android-powered device, where it will carry the moniker Snakebyte QEUS, and it is currently being penciled in for a summer launch without breaking the $100 – hopefully.

The Snakebyte QEUS will run on a quad-core Rockchip RK3288 ARM Cortex-A17 processor, accompanied by 2GB RAM, a microSD memory card slot, 802.11b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, 5.1 channel audio, and HDMI 2.0 output. Each purchase would be accompanied by a game controller as well as a remote control, while there are media and Android navigation buttons located on one side, with a QWERTY keyboard on the other. A 6-axis sensor will be utilized for motion controls.

Snakebyte claims that the QEUS is capable of playing music as well as videos from USB storage stream content from DLNA devices that are residing on your home network. While QEUS will also play nice with the Google Play Store, Snakebyte mentioned that there will also be a gamestore powered by Nexway – options are always nice to have, don’t you think so?
