The Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 does look as though it has arrived at the testing phase, if an import listing on Indian site Zauba is anything to go by. Part of the equation would be the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 which so happens to be the upcoming 8” model of the high end Samsung tablet. The Galaxy Tab S2 will arrive in a pair – where apart from the 8” model that is being tested at the moment, there is also a larger sized 9.7” slate which will be a stark departure from the 16:10 aspect ratio that Samsung has offered in their top tier of tablets for quite some time already, in addition to the far more affordable Galaxy Tab A and Tab A Plus models.
This particular change to a 4:3 aspect, which can be found in existing iPads and the Google Nexus 9, would ultimately translate to a superior web and picture browsing experience, but on the other hand, it would not go down too well with video fans.
The resolution count will remain the same as rival models at 2,048×1,536 pixels, where apart from that the tablets will also deliver AMOLED quality displays – which are fitting for their position in the market, of course. As for the hardware specifications, we are looking at the very real possibility of an in-house Exynos 5 Octa chipset, accompanied by 3GB RAM, 32GB of internal memory and very possibly a microSD memory card slot. The test unit will be destroyed right after it has been tested, which would be a real shame, actually.
