However that is not necessarily a bad thing as last year DisplayMate bestowed the title of the best display on the Galaxy Note 4, so we guess having a display of similar caliber is actually a good thing! “The Galaxy S6 and Galaxy Note 4 are neck-and-neck record holders for display performance, effectively tied or alternating between first and second place in almost all categories except screen size for the much larger Galaxy Note 4, and the much higher pixels per inch for the Galaxy S6.”
DisplayMate also compared the display of the Samsung Galaxy S6 against its chief rival, the iPhone 6 in which they found that the “Galaxy S6 has more than double the resolution and more than 4 times the number of pixels as the iPhone 6.” They also found that the Galaxy S6 beat out the iPhone 6 in terms of higher peak Brightness and Contrast Ratio in both low and high Ambient Light.
The phone was also found to have higher Absolute Color Accuracy and gave a better viewing angle performance. This is in line with our review of the phone in which we found the display to be just as excellent.
