The Moto X (2014) was launched in the later part of 2014 and given the success Motorola’s had with the device, we’re sure many users are looking forward to seeing what this year’s Moto X has in store for us. However the question is, when can we expect the device to be launched? Motorola’s President Rick Osterloh recently took to Twitter where he more or less gave away the date.
According to Osterloh who tweeted a reply to a question from a customer, he stated that Motorola is trying to stay on an annual cycle for all their products including the Moto X. This means that based on last year’s launch of the Moto X (2014), there is a good chance that this year’s Moto X could be launched around the August/September mark as well.
Of course it is possible that Motorola could choose to launch the handset earlier than expected, or maybe it could be delayed due to unforeseen circumstances, but for now it seems like August/September is a safe bet. So far not much is known about the upcoming device but Motorola and Qualcomm had previously confirmed that the Snapdragon 810 would be featured in this year’s Moto X, so there’s that.
We also expect that the Moto Maker feature will continue to be offered to Moto X customers looking to customize their hands, so we have to wonder if new materials will be offered as the backplate for this year as well. In any case we will be keeping a lookout for more details, but in the meantime what features are you looking forward to in this year’s Moto X?
