We’re sure many gamers are looking forward to getting their hands on Mortal Kombat X. However if you’re still hanging on to your PS3 or Xbox 360 and were thinking about getting the game on those consoles, you might be disappointed to learn that NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. recently announced the game’s delay.
The delay will only affect copies meant for the PS3 and the Xbox 360. This means that if you’re planning to play it on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, or the PC, you guys are still on track for a 14th of April release. The PS3/Xbox 360 version has been delayed until Summer but unfortunately neither studio could provide a specific date as to when we might be able to expect the game, but hopefully it won’t be too late into the summer.
In the meantime Mortal Kombat X has also been slated to arrive on mobile platforms. The mobile version is also expected to be released on the 14th of April alongside its console and PC counterpart but if you were hoping for a brawler style game, that does not appear to be the case. The mobile version of Mortal Kombat X will be a free-to-play fighting style game with card battling elements. It will also have tie-ins with the console versions and will allow gamers to unlock additional content.
