If you’re in the market for a new mouse and you’re not a fan of the cheap two-button mice that’s commonly offered in computer stores, you’re in luck as Logitech has recently announced their latest mouse in the form of the Logitech MX Master wireless mouse, a mouse that might be handy for those who wants the extra buttons and might be looking to use it with more than one device at a time.
For starters the MX Master will connect to computers or mobile devices either via Bluetooth or a sync dongle. Users will be able to alternate between devices simply by lifting up the mouse and tapping a button, so if you’d rather not buy multiple mice or have to compromise on your mouse because you’re using a different computer, this could be it.
In terms of buttons, the MX Master will come with five buttons and a scroll wheel on its side that users can use with their thumb, offering a unique scrolling position for those who might want to set different commands to it. Granted there aren’t as many buttons compared to dedicated gaming mice which might have more, but for the regular user who just needs a few more buttons, we reckon 5 should do the trick.
The MX Master will also employ Logitech’s Darkfield Laser sensor and will have a max dpi of 1,600. It will run on a battery that Logitech claims will be good for 40 days on a single charge, but this will depend on how frequently you use the device. The Logitech MX Master is priced at $100 and is expected to be made available in April.
