The LG G3 from last year came with a 5.5-inch display, so what can we expect from LG this year for the LG G4? Could the company be thinking about increasing its screen size? Keeping it same? Or maybe even shrink it down a bit? If the rumors are to be believed, we can look forward to a slightly larger LG G4 this year.
This is according to a post by @OnLeaks who claims on Twitter that the LG G4 will come with a 5.6-inch display. Granted it isn’t that much bigger and we’re not sure if it will be very noticeable, but for now that is what we do know about the handset. Presumably LG will also be keeping the resolution from last year which of the QHD variety but so far there hasn’t been any confirmation on that.
The LG G4 is expected to make an appearance in April if the rumors are to be believed. One of the handset’s alleged features includes a fingerprint sensor, and based on the leaked renders it seems that the handset could be borrowing the curve design from the LG G Flex series of curved display smartphones, although that has yet to be confirmed too.
There have also been rumors that suggests that LG could be launching an even higher-end version of the LG G4, and that this model would be of the phablet variety. However it is safe to say that LG G3’s 5.5-inches already puts it in phablet category, so we’re not sure if this rumored 5.6-inch display could be for the regular LG G4 or the more premium version, but do take it with a grain of salt for now, at least until we get more information.
