Unfortunately for LG fans, the company did not unveil their new flagship phone at MWC 2015, instead opting to unveil new mid-range handsets. Instead word on the street has it that LG might unveil the device at a separate event in April to avoid competing with the likes of Samsung, and if recent reports are to be believed, it could be quite a fight.
A recent report from the Korea Times has quoted LG’s head of mobile division Cho Juno as stating that the upcoming LG G4 will sport a radical new design. This seems to be in line with what Samsung has done this year with the Samsung Galaxy S6 which came with a brand new design and made use of more premium materials such as metal and glass.
Juno claims that the upcoming LG G4 will feature an overhauled surface design as well as come with improvements made to the user experience. It is unclear as to what Juno meant specifically, but hopefully LG will be able to blow us away the same way Samsung did with the Galaxy S6.
A recent rumor has also suggested that the LG G4 will not be the only high-end handset LG has planned, and that the company also has plans for an even higher-end smartphone that could be priced 10% higher than the LG G4. Take it with a grain of salt for now, but what kind of features would you like to see in the LG G4’s design?
