The 12-inch iPad Pro is an Apple product that has been rumored to be in the works for a while now. No word on when it will launch, if at all, but if you were hoping to see it announced at either Apple’s 9th of March event or WWDC 2015 in the middle of the year, you’d be disappointed to learn that will not be happening.
According to reports, word on the street has it that Apple has delayed the production of the iPad Pro and has since pushed it to September. Apparently this is due to the difficulty of obtaining the necessary displays needed for the device. This is actually a pretty huge delay as previous reports have suggested that production was supposed to begin this quarter.
What this means is that the tablet might be announced alongside Apple’s next-gen iPhones which are typically announced around that time of the year, so like we said if you were hoping for an earlier release or announcement, that might no longer be possible. Recently we have also heard some rumored specs/features of the upcoming tablet.
This includes the use of USB 3.0 ports, a rapid charging feature, and also the possibility of an optional keyboard accessory which makes it sound more like Microsoft’s Surface tablets.
