It looks like a brand new app update from Ten One Design is now readily available, and upon installation of this new update, one will be able to enjoy pressure sensitive input thanks to the new Force Touch trackpad onto virtually any drawing app on the Mac. The latest version would bump up the version number of Inklet to 1.6, where it will deliver support for the pressure sensitivity features of the new Mac input hardware. Do bear in mind that such a feature can be found on the latest 13” Retina MacBook Pro in addition to the yet unreleased 12” MacBook.
Inklet is not a new company, where they have made their presence known since the beginning of this decade, but at least it has moved on from just letting one use the trackpad on a Mac as a drawing input, to throwing in support for pressure-based input. In other words, you will now be able to take advantage of any stylus, or perhaps use even your finger, in order to control the likes of line width through trackpad, based on the kind of pressure that you place.
I suppose the experience would be somewhat akin to that of using a Wacom Bamboo tablet, save for the fact that it will be a far smaller space to let your ideas flow in.
