However according to recently updated specs by @upleaks, it seems that HTC might have decided to drop the UltraPixel in favor of a 13MP front-facing camera instead which is actually rather impressive, although we have to wonder if that’s really necessary. Other than that it seems that the rest of the phone’s specs remain the same.
Interestingly enough the specs of the HTC One M9 Plus appear to be identical to the rumored HTC One E9pt, which is supposedly the plastic variant of the HTC One M9 that might be limited to non-Western countries. Apart from the display size, both phones appear to sport the same resolution, same processor in the form of the MediaTek MT6795 64-bit chipset, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of onboard storage, and a 20.7MP rear-facing camera.
It is unclear if both phones are the one and the same or if they’re different models but share identical specs that are destined for different markets. In any case hopefully we will learn more about the HTC One M9 Plus later this month so do check back with us then for the details.
