The HTC One M9 was announced at MWC 2015 and it seemed that for the most part, HTC kept to the design and size as the HTC One M8 from last year. This meant the the screen size was kept at 5-inches, which for some users isn’t a bad thing, but if you’re looking for a slightly larger display, the HTC One M9 Plus might be the phone for you.
According to a recent tweet by @OnLeaks, it seems that he has managed to “confirm” that the screen size on the upcoming HTC One M9 Plus is that of the 5.2-inch variety. We’re not sure how many of you guys will be able to tell the difference in 0.2-inches, but at least on paper it is bigger. This corroborates earlier rumors that the handset will come with a 5.2-inch display.
As for the rest of the specs, if the rumors are any accurate it seems that we can look forward to a handset with a MediaTek SoC under its hood. It is also said to come with 3GB of RAM, 32GB of onboard storage, and its 5.2-inch display is also said to be of the QHD variety, thus giving it a higher resolution than the flagship HTC One M9.
In terms of launch, word has it that HTC is planning to release launch it in Q1 2015 which means that we should be hearing an announcement before the month is out. It is also expected to make its way to the EMEA region. Take it with a grain of salt for now but we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for more info.
