According to a variety of reports, word has it that HTC has managed to get the overheating issue under control with the finalization of the handset’s software, and that it is ready in time for the handset’s release. The handset was originally planned to be released in Taiwan earlier this week but was said to have been delayed over software issues.
The HTC One M9 was also recently confirmed for a US release on the 10th of April so thankfully whatever issues it was, HTC has managed to get it under control. The reports state that HTC has managed to reduce the temperature by around 10C. Based on the previous benchmark this would put it at around the 45C range which is still hot, but at least it is more or less in line with other high-end handsets.
The company is also said to be be issuing an OTA update to users who might have received advanced copies of the handset for review purposes, and according to the changelog it states that thermal improvements have been made.
