As expected HTC has unveiled its new flagship smartphone today in Barcelona. CEO Peter Chou took the stage to unveil HTC One M9. There were no big surprises as far as the design is concerned because it’s precisely the same device that has been leaked every which way. The company did point out that this smartphone brings a dual-tone finish on a single metal unibody which it claims to be “for the first time in the industry.”
The HTC One M9 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810, this had been rumored previously as well, and it runs Android 5.0 Lollipop that’s slapped with the company’s Sense Seven user interface.
On the back there’s a 20 megapixel camera with a sapphire glass covered lens. The UltraPixel camera has been moved to the front and HTC touts it as the “best mobile imaging on the market for your selfies and video calls on the go.”
BoomSound speakers still around on HTC’s flagship smartphone and this time around they even get Dolby Audio Surround 5.1 sound to offer an even premium experience to users.
The event is still underway in Barcelona so expect more information to come in shortly. We will also have a hands-on review of the HTC One M9 up very shortly.
