HTC One (M8) For Verizon Obtains Android 5.0 Lollipop

If you are rocking to Verizon and happen to own a HTC One (M8), here is some bit of news to cheer you up, knowing that you are unable to afford the recently announced HTC One M9 when it arrives. Your HTC One (M8) from Verizon would receive a new lease of life, as it is now on the receiving end of the Android 5.0 Lollipop mobile operating system update.

Android 5.0 Lollipop for Verizon Wireless’ HTC One (M8) should not come across as surprising at all, especially when you take into consideration how they are behind other two key rivals in the mobile carrier sector – Sprint and T-Mobile, whose respective HTC One (M8) handsets had already picked up the Android 5.0 Lollipop some time ago.

Do bear in mind that this particular update is made available over-the-air (OTA), where it will bring with it a whole slew of improvements to the HTC One (M8), including the spanking new ART runtime as well as Material Design update. Needless to say, as with any other mobile operating system update, you would do well to make a backup of all your data beforehand, download the update using a WiFi connection if possible, and ensure that there is enough space and battery life on the handset prior.
