The good news for Android users and developers is that Google has decided to relax the rules and has announced that they will now allow third-party Android devs to incorporate the feature into their apps. This was confirmed by Google’s project director Aparna Chennapragada during SXSW. It has yet to be determined as to when the Google Now developer kit will be released, but it is something to look forward to.
That being said if you’re wondering how this works and you’re also worried about maybe some kind of conflict between competing softwares, Chennapragada states that your app usage habits will determine which cards will appear, so at least you won’t get conflicting or repeat information thus making it easier for you to find out what you want to know.
