Google Flight Search Can Show Which Flights Have WiFi On Board

WiFi on flights can be rather expensive and slow, but if you’re a business user or someone who has the need to constantly stay connected, this is a service that you will just need to pay for. However not every flight offers WiFi and if you’re specifically looking for flights that do, you will be pleased to learn that Google Flight Search will now offer that feature.

Google Flight Search was originally launched in 2011 and basically what it did is help users search for flights, essentially cutting out the need to go to other flight websites such as Kayak, Priceline, Travelocity, and more. Now thanks to Google’s partnership with Routehappy, a flight-rating service, Google Flight Search will be able to tell users which flights they are looking at will have WiFi on board.

Like we said this will no doubt come in handy for the business traveller who needs to be constantly connected to send and receive emails and files, especially if you’re traveling long distances and will be out of communications for several hours. As you can see in the screenshot above, the listings will also be able to tell users if their flights have in-seat power outlets which can be used to help charge devices like laptops or mobile phones during the flight.
