According to the Geekbench scores, the refreshed 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro managed to score 3034 for single-core, and 6448 for multi-core. This is compared to last year’s model which scored 3056 for single and 6554 for multi which makes it even more odd that last year’s models actually beat out this year’s refresh.
As for the 11-inch MacBook Air, it achieve a single-core score of 2920 and a multi-core score of 5781. This is higher than last year’s model which score 2671 and 5291 respectively which is pretty decent. The 13-inch MacBook Air scored 2937 for single-core and 5808 for multi-core, beating out 2014’s model which score 2663 and 5264 respectively.
It should be noted that these are just preliminary results and we’re sure that with more extensive testing, new scores might surface, but for now it looks like for the most part, the refreshed models are doing slightly better than their predecessors.
