Mechanical keyboards have a love-hate relationship with users. There are some who absolutely adore the clicking and clacking of the keys and the solid tactile feedback they get when typing. However there are those who just hate the sound and find that mechanical keyboards are harder to type with compared to other types of keyboards.
Now if you’re in the former camp you will be pleased to learn that Das Keyboard has recently announced its Das Keyboard 4 Professional mechanical keyboard for Mac users. The Das Keyboard 4 was actually announced last year except that it was designed for Windows users, so for Mac users who were feeling a little left out, hopefully this will appease you guys.
The layout of the keyboard is pretty standard but in place of the Windows button, Mac users get a ALT/Option button and a “Fn” button in its place. However other than that the layout of the keyboard should be familiar to all computer users. The design of the keyboard will feature an anodized aluminum top panel and will sport mechanical key switches with gold contacts, multimedia control, and two USB 3.0 ports.
It will be available in either Blue or Brown switches depending on your preference. If this sounds like the keyboard for you, you can head on over to their website and pick one up for yourself for $175 for the Blue switches, or $179 for the Brown switches.
