samsung-galaxy-s6_008It is no secret that iPhone users are incredibly loyal to Apple which means that for the most part, iPhone users tend to upgrade to newer iPhones as opposed to switching brands. However what would be a key factor in convincing an iPhone user to switch to another brand/model, like Samsung’s Galaxy S6?

Interestingly enough it turns out that price is an important factor. A recent survey conducted by ecoATM revealed that basically price is one of the main motivators in getting them to swap from their iPhones to a Galaxy S6. 24% said that they would only do it if it was a free swap, and 16% said that they would make the trade if the Samsung Galaxy S6 was offered at a lower price point.

This is actually a bit ironic considering that Apple’s handsets tend to be priced at a premium, so for iPhone users to quibble about the price is interesting. Other factors that might make iPhone users switch would be longer lasting battery life; an even larger display; and a small percentage (3%) said they would switch if they saw a celebrity using it.

As for loyal iPhone users, the survey found that 16% of those surveyed said that they would never exchange their iPhone for another phone under any condition. So iPhone owners, what would be the main driving force in getting you to swap to a Samsung Galaxy S6, or any other brand for that matter?
