In an ideal world, we would be able to play all sorts of console games at maximum resolution at the best framerates possible, like 1080p at 60fps, but if you had to choose? Would you rather sacrifice framerates for resolution or vice versa? Thankfully if you’re planning on getting your hands on Battlefield Hardline, the folks at Visceral have made that decision for you.
The developer has recently confirmed the final resolution for Battlefield Hardline on both the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4. The former will run at 720p while the latter will run at 900p, and while the Xbox One will run at a lower resolution, thankfully both platforms will run the game at 60fps which should result in a rather smooth and fluid gameplay.
While this is a good compromise, we’re sure there are some gamers who would have preferred if the game ran at 1080p Full HD. In fact last year when the game was announced, Sony exec Adam Boyes stated that the game would run at 1080p at 60fps, so safe to say that did not exactly pan out.
In any case like we said some compromises have to be made, but are any gamers out there disappointed by the lack of 1080p resolution, or are you happy that Visceral at least managed to get the game to run at 60fps on both platforms?
