Batman Arkham Knight is a title that I am looking forward to the most this year. Rocksteady was originally supposed to release it on October 14th, 2014 but the game’s release was pushed to 2015. Late last year the developer had confirmed that the title will be released in June 2015. There has been a slight change of plans. Batman Arkham Knight release has been delayed, albeit not by much.
Rocksteady had previously confirmed that the title will be released worldwide on June 2nd, 2015. Today it announced a three week delay. The new release date for Batman Arkham Knight is June 23rd, 2015, as revealed through the game’s official Twitter account.
The developer knows that there are countless gamers out there anxiously waiting for the conclusion to the Arkham trilogy. From what we have seen up till now it appears that the title will live up to expectations.
It’s no secret that gamers don’t like delays particularly when it comes to titles that they have been waiting for a very long time. From a developer’s point of view it makes sense to push the release forward if it will ensure that gamers will have a great experience with the title as soon as it launches.
Last year we saw a lot of game releases being botched because clearly the developers chose to push them out instead of going with a delay to ensure quality.
Hopefully Rocksteady will be able to achieve the level of satisfaction that it needs to before releasing Batman Arkham Knight to the public on June 23rd.
