zenfone2-pricingThe ASUS Zenfone 2 was revealed at CES earlier this year, and while that meant the handset was ready and kicking to be released, it had yet to be released by mobile carriers. Well, all of that looks set to come to an end, as the ASUS Zenfone 2 has debuted in its home country, Taiwan, earlier today, with the basic 5” model retailing for a mere $158 (after conversion, of course) prior to any subsidies.

This seems to be a decent price for the entry level model of the ASUS Zenfone 2, although most people would focus on the higher end model that sports 4GB RAM alongside a 5.5″ 1080p display, not to mention having it accompanied by 32GB of internal memory right out of the box.

That particular model will retail for 8990 NT$, and upon conversion, it will retail for $285 thereabouts, which would be a pretty decent return considering the hardware specifications that come packed underneath the hood. Basically, there will be a quartet of ASUS Zenfone 2 models up for grabs, three of them under the 5.5” guise, while the remaining one being the 5” model. The other two 5.5” models would come with 32GB of internal memory and 2GB RAM, and 16GB of internal memory and 2GB RAM, retailing for $221 and $190, respectively.
