It was announced a couple of weeks back that AMC will soon be available to Sling TV subscribers. Today Sling TV has flipped the switch and its subscribers can stream the network that has provided us with hits like Mad Men, Breaking Bad and The Walking Dead. Since AMC is included in the base subscription package for this service those who subscribe to Sling TV don’t have to pay anything else to live stream the network.
At the International Consumer Electronics Show 2015 Dish unveiled its new service called Sling TV. It an over-the-top internet TV streaming service that costs $20 per month. Subscribers have the option to pay extra for add-on channel packages but the base package offers a decent amount of channels, including ESPN, CNN, TNT, TBS and more.
Apart from AMC as part of this deal, IFC and another channel are coming to Sling TV today, also for no extra charge. So this is a good addition to Sling TV’s lineup and creates more value for people who are paying $20 to access the service.
Sling has launched another $5 add-on pack which is called “Hollywood Extra.” It brings channels like EPIX, EPIX 2, EPIX3, EPIX Drive IN and Sundance TV. The add-on pack is available right now and subscribers can pay the extra money to start streaming immediately.
