Alleged iPad Pro 3D Cover Render Hints At Four Speaker Design

ipad_proApple is rumored to be working on a new iPad of the 12-inch variety. Supposedly this will compete with the likes of the Microsoft Surface tablet which is also of the 12-inch variety, not to mention the various Samsung 12-inch tablets that have been released so far. That being it is unclear as to when Apple will make the announcement, if at all, but thanks a couple of leaked renderings, at least of the tablet’s features has been “confirmed”.

According to the rendering pictured above, you can see that there are two grills that have been cut out at the top part of the tablet’s cover which hints at the possibility that there are two speakers placed at the top. Apparently this is mirrored at the bottom of the device which when combined would create a stereo effect, albeit not a front-facing one like what HTC has done with their BoomSound speakers.

Other than that it looks like the tablet’s design has not changed too much. The tablet’s camera placement, volume rockers, sleep/wake button, and headphone port have all remained in the same position, although the final design of the device is really anyone’s guess at the moment. It is possible that the rendering might be a fake or from an overly-enthusiastic case manufacturer who might be speculating some of the tablet’s features, so do take it with a grain of salt for now.

In the meantime we have heard rumors that the tablet’s production might have been delayed due to alleged issues with the manufacturing process. It is still unclear as to when Apple might announce the tablet, but given that we have at least 3 more Apple events to look forward to, it might be at any one of those.
