The photos are extremely cropped so we are unable to get a clear image as to how the handset will look like as a whole, but based on what we can see and what we do know about the HTC One M9, there are some differences, but whether or not these images are legit remains to be seen, but for the most part it seems that there are some shared design ideas, like the front-facing BoomSound speakers for one.
That being said in case you missed the earlier reports, HTC is rumored to launch the HTC One E9pt (it was formerly known as the One E9) later this month in China. For the most part it shares the same specs as the One M9, although there are some aspects which are higher, like its display which is rumored to feature a QHD resolution.
The handset is also rumored to be powered by a MediaTek chipset and will be accompanied by 3GB of RAM, 32GB of onboard storage, a 20MP rear-facing camera, a 13MP front-facing camera, and will come with Android 5.0 Lollipop. Take it with a grain of salt for now, but hopefully we will learn more about the handset in the coming weeks.
